J.C.R Maintenance offers a specialized full regulatory inspection service, dedicated to tanks used for the transport of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. This service combines advanced verification procedures with strict technical criteria, guaranteeing functional integrity, structural robustness and alignment with the most stringent normative requirements. These inspections include specific tests, such as intermediate and main tests, to assess the integrity and reliability of both aluminum and stainless steel tanks. The company also meticulously follows up every stage of the inspection, documenting each check to offer its customers total traceability and transparency. As a recognized specialist, J.C.R Maintenance follows the strict protocols laid down by national and international regulations, and works closely with approved inspection bodies.

Inspection of hazardous materials tanks
Tanks carrying hazardous materials require specific checks, carried out according to strict protocols to minimize any risk of incident. J.C.R Maintenance’s qualified technicians carry out intermediate tests every three years, and main tests every six years, under the supervision of an approved body. These checks include :
- Leak test at operating pressure: Before any routine use, the team carries out a leak test to ensure that the tank can withstand the pressure defined in the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Breathing system inspection: Inspection of breathing systems, essential for maintaining the integrity of transported hazardous materials.
- Internal and external visual inspection: careful assessment of the tank’s condition, including identification of cracks, wear or any other damage likely to affect its reliability and structural strength.
The team strictly follows manufacturers’ specifications, taking into account tank materials (aluminum, stainless steel) and applying controls adapted to the abrasive or non-abrasive nature of the products transported.

Compliance with safety standards
Safety is at the heart of J.C.R Maintenance’s services, particularly for tanks exposed to demanding transport conditions. Compliance checks include detailed inspections and specific measures to comply with national and international standards.
Material thickness control
To guarantee the durability and reliability of each tank, our technicians regularly measure the thickness of the walls, in strict compliance with the specifications set out in the manufacturing instructions. This critical check ensures that material thickness remains above the minimum required thresholds, thus preventing any risk of structural failure during transport.
Trials and tests
To ensure optimum safety, our technicians carry out various tests, including :
- Hydraulic test: A hydraulic pressure test carried out at design pressure to check the tightness and strength of the walls.
- Leak test: An additional test carried out at operating pressure to ensure that the tank is leak-free.
- M.D. inspection: A full ADR inspection for hazardous materials (MD).

Certifications and compliance reports
Each regulatory tank inspection is accompanied by the documentation and reports required to certify the tank’s safety and conformity. These documents include test certificates, pressure test records and attestations of compliance with dangerous goods transportation standards.
On completion of inspections, J.C.R Maintenance provides detailed reports and documents essential for tank operation within the regulatory framework for the transport of hazardous materials. These documents include Thickness and Pressure Reports. These document the measurements and tests carried out, including material thicknesses and pressure test results.
